Korean BBQ

I love Korean BBQ. Most everything Korean I have tried is so good. My favorite is Kalbi, Bulkoki, Jaeyook Bokeum & all their stews & soups are absolutely delicious. The sides they serve the dishes with are great - they give like 6-7 different sides. I especially like the soups that come in the clay bowls because it keeps it nice & hot. I usually go to Shin's BBQ in Hollywood. I also like Seoul Korea BBQ in Glendale. I use to go there all the time when I use to work for Disney. Korean is so delicious but can be very expensive especially for dinner. Doreen cooks the Korean spicy pork at home sometimes & serves it with pickled radish & kimchee (mmmmmm!).

Adobo

After several attempts - I can officially now say "I know how to make adobo!" One of my favorite dishes my mom makes. I almost can make it as good my mom & my aunt Noime. The kids go crazy over it. I finally have enough nerve to try to cook a Filipino dish. You can either make chicken, pork or beef adobo, My favorite of course is chicken.

Canon PIXMA MP490 Inkjet
I bought the Canon PIXMA MP490 Inkjet printer for $30 online. Original price was $99. What a steal!
iPod Touch for Nishi (Christmas Gift)
Am I insane? - I bought Nishi a iPod Touch last thursday online for one of her Christmas gifts. She is constantly on my iphone & believe or not she knows her way around. I am hoping after getting her this she won't ask for the iPhone. A 4 year old with a iPod Touch. Actually she will be sharing with Doreen
Thanksgiving 2009
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving at my brother's house in Burbank this year. Last year we had it at our place. We had a blast. OMG - there was so much food & sweets. Iris planned some awesome games & projects. One game my mom had me turning so many colors. I am not going to even repeat what she said. She had everybody rolling. Good times! My brother's house was nice decorated with Christmas decor. Great job Aput for setting up the lights.
Things I am grateful for:
- My Family & Friends
- My Church & all the people God has brought into our lives
- Healing upon Bernadette
- All that God provides & supplies in & for our lives
- Most of all my salvation in Christ Jesus
O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever. Psalms 136:1
November Babies Rock
The Andrion household celebrates 3 birthdays in the month of November. Nishi, Doreen & myself all were born in the month of November. We ate 4 different birthdays cakes in the span of 1 week. Thanks to all of you for the presents, delicious foods, gift cards & love! I really did feel like I was 10 years old again this year.

DD-WRT & Wireless Print Server
I bought the Netgear WNR834B router on craigslist for $30. Exactly the one I wanted - the reason why is because I could the replace the netgear firmware with linux based alternative DD-WRT firmware which allows you to do so much more. With a little tweaking - it helps increase the wireless speed for faster download time & further range. Well - I was successful at replacing DD-WRT without bricking my router. Huge difference! This also works great with my wireless print server that my brother gave me last week. He had it sitting in his closet & wasn't using it & offered it to me. Now I can print to our Canon laser printer anywhere in the house without having to hook up USB cables to my laptop. Hopefully this will work great with the PS3. I want to get a second router to set-up as a repeater to extend the range further. You can take a mediocore router & turn into a powerhouse. Check out their website: http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/index
Lee's Vietnamese Sandwiches

Co-workers were telling me about Lee's Vietnamese Sandwiches. We checked out the one in Alhambra. Got to say they were pretty good & very cheap for $2.45 a sandwich. We all got the grilled pork - they kind of remind of spring rolls but in a french bread roll. Inside the sandwich is meat, carrots, radish, cilantro & jalapenos. Yeah - they have a kick to them. We decided we like it & would go back.

Kabuki's - Sushi

Enjoying lunch with Doreen @ one of our favorite places to eat - Kabuki's in Pasadena. We ordered so much. We had calamari rings for appetizers, philadephia roll, spicy tuna, crunch roll, lotus on fire roll & salmon skin roll.
New Mexico Hatch Chile
Doreen is from New Mexico & every so often has a taste for the old fashion Southwest spices & Hatch Chile is one of them. Hatch Chile is named after Hatch - a small little city in New Mexico. In all of New Mexico, no other chile is prized more than the Hatch Chile. The hot days and cool nights in this area give this chile a unique flavor. In fact, the Anaheim Chile is the great grandson of the Hatch chile & they look very similar. We bought $35 worth from Bristol Farms in Pasadena which had thier annual Hatch Chile festival. They are only in season July & August. Doreen's hands were burning after peeling the roasted chiles fresh from the roaster. Oh - the smell of roasted chiles. Below are some clips I took.
Speakeasy Broadband Speed Test
Sorry - I have not been posting lately. Been busy but have time tonight. A lot of catching up.
Check out Speakeasy.net website. Just click on the above title. Speakeasy determines how fast your internet connection speed is. With Time Warner Cable on a Sunday afternoon I hit 19 mbps. I hit 11 mbps tonight. Ingredibly fast! I thought this website was pretty cool. The guy that installed our cable internet showed me the site. Way faster & more stable than DSL. So glad I dumped our previous ISP. They were horrible.

Louis Vuitton Hooptie

OMG - I woke up this morning to this hideous looking Louis Vuitton car parked right in front of my house. How dare they!
What a crack-up. I needed a good laugh this morning. All I need to do - is get the matching hat & sunglasses for me & the purse & wallet for Doreen. Talk about a hooptie!

Sparks Game update pic
We had great seats 4 rows from the floor. The row right behind us were the women's UCLA basketball team. They went on the floor at half time. I was able to conversate with Christina Nzekwe (Forward) for a while. She was really nice & gave Aleah high five for playing basketball & encourage her to work hard. She invited us to watch her at a UCLA game.

Harvest Crusade - Sunday Night 8/16/09
Never been but OMG - it was awesome. We brought some youth from our church. Just getting in you have to go through a multitude of people. I think we waited about 1/2 hour till they opened another line. It was worth the wait.
They had an excellent line up:
- The Katinas
- Crystal Lewis
- Chris Tomlin (One of my favorites - we do a lot of his songs in our church)
- Greg Laurie
- Altar Call
- Firework show while Chris Tomlin sang
They all got down. the Katinas opened up, Crytal Lewis sang both in English & Spanish - unbelievable. Chris Tomlin did all his popular songs. He also sang in Spanish, Russian & Jacarata. The worship was so heavy. Greg Laurie preached a message on Heaven
The best part was there were over 4,500 salvations for Christ. The field was flooded with souls. I have never seen anything like this before. I was blown away. The only charge was parking for $10.00. Can't wait till next year.
